Love

The thing about life as a person who has been abused... it's hard. You want to belong to someone so bad, You want to have someone to hold, you want to have someone to love you. But the thing that you want most of all is to have that person be sexually strong with you- a true partner. A confidant that you can be unabashed with. It's so important. It's important but seems so selfish. I can't help it but if it is selfish.... well I am sorry. Sex is a necessary thing for me. I need to have it to feel whole. I need to have it to feel complete. I need it to feel human and to live. It is a HUGE hunger within
me. Everything about it is a drive that I can't help but to chase down.
I want a woman to touch. I want to put my hands on her and feel the heat from her body and for her to feel the heat from my hands radiating through her. I get so turned on by touching my woman- by rubbing her and massaging her skin. But mostly, I get turned on by someone loving me back in life.

and gathering my eggs in the morning dew.
I just want to find a place in life where I can go back
to that simplicity instead of trying to prove to someone
that I have depth and intelligence
that is incomparable to ten men..
Doesn't that explain anything to you?
I am a very complex person because I am a person who is a leader for a many people. I am a simple person because I know what it takes to make those people individuals. Think about that while you eat chips and salsa and watch your cat- all of which I wish I had, and make sure you hold the light of my candle next to the light of all candles you have ever known, smelled, or had the pleasure of being among the glow. I have been through so much in life that there is little that I am incapable of understanding. Doesn't that mean anything to you?

"Insomnia, revisted" this brings us current 3/25/17 trailer fiasco

Insomnia is truly torturous. Fortunately, man has the ability to overcome any situation with logic, reason, and rationale. Is that the right word?
With some basic Psychology studies we can turn any negative into a positive... if we choose to. We might not want to but..
For instance, you have to go to work and do some strenuous, filthy job because it has to be done and no one else is man enough to tend to it. You "get to" use certain tools, like "play with" the Sawzall, "Sculpt" mud onto drywall, "Whittle" wood into finish goods, smell like wood, smell (not stink) like a natural man (which most reasonable women LOVE).
Quitting smoking: you get to gain weight, improve the speed and ideas flowing from your mind, stay toasty in the winter cuz you don't have to go outside to freeze for a smoke... I think you get it.
Oh, and if you end up with serious health problems and face a countdown, you just "get to" Go Home early! No more worry and pain. "See Ya, I am Outta Here!"

My thoughts are relevant to my life, of course. Where else would they come from? Anyway, 3 days no sleep, insomnia for a YEAR. Only getting a few short naps while trying to sleep. It will drive you MAD. And then to be trapped in speeding thoughts- imprisoned in my head unless someone comes and snaps me out of it.

Buried in a mountain of problems, strapped for cash, and dying of a broken heart- I am still trying to achieve my goals or die trying. If I do drop dead, I can only hope that my voice is left ringing. To me, that would be a success.

Left to nothing but keepin' on, the story continues: After being released from jail for growing marijuana for medical needs, I decided NOT to continue with the Adult Abuse and Child Endangerment claims against the woman I love...d, however, I did document the conditions of my beautiful home that I was so proud of, and all of the destruction due to internet abuse and her refusal to cooperate with managing 72,000 a year, as well as her daughter, Siena, whom I stepped in to parent and educated. This alone made me thrilled, and gave me hopes that I would have my own children back in my life.
The cases were to defend me from the possibility of 2-8 years in prison. Jenny was compensated by me for prescribed caregiving assistance by way of my yearly auto claim- a claim they want to peter out due to my health and history. It seems they will get off cheaper that way. Thanks Attorney.
Enough of that, for now.

After calling my Mental Health team, they came and picked me up, taking me to The Nehemiah House Shelter, where I stayed for three days until I began to fear for my safety. Once again, the ACT Team from CMH took me to the bank so I could assess my control options. It was decided that I could secure a room at a hotel for a while so, they pulled into a random hotel- America's Best Value Inn of Petoskey. I immediately asked if they needed any help. "George" said, "Yes. Actually, we need a Painter." What happened next would or should have been predictable but I was so focused on the impossibility ( I always do what's not possible) of having my business back together enough to get where I wanted to be. Perhaps, if I would have stopped feeling sorry for myself, fueled by anger and rage over the destruction of my Home, Office, and heated pole building with full mechanics shop to build my bikes and work on our equipment, and the 100 acres of hilly forest to walk through every morning- I might have not tried drinking myself to death in the process. The alternative goal was to work myself to death- the point where I would just drop dead mid-step.

The room was sweet. I went right to work reviving my abandoned Web efforts at selling my work, focusing my energies on Twitter seemed like the right thing to do. I revived my account, last used in 2010 I believe. I only had 52 followers. That was last year, the first week of April or so. Hammering away day and night without having any education on how to use Twitter, really, I went balls out, both on the Hotel, and on Twitter. People actually rolled their windows down and yelled at me, "You're Working Too Hard!" I wanted my Jenny to drive past, on her way to McLaren Hospital for work, and see the mountain I had moved.
The part about the room that wasn't sweet was discovering that I had no time AT ALL to use the gym, the spa, watch a movie, or even play/study my guitar. That was typical, being right in the middle of great things but denied all. Part of that was my own fault. Not to mention that I was surfing for female companions every chance I got. I have no idea how many dating sites I tried or used. It ended up being that, seems how I couldn't control myself, I needed to have my bank card replaced every so often to keep from constant billing that I could not afford since living on $771 out of $1200 social security disability insurance. As for the Insomnia, that was partly what the alcohol was for- that and the extreme pain I was forced to deal with, having no medications to provide any amount of relief. And I could NOT use marijuana because of the bi-weekly drug screenings. I know, I know- sounds like an alcoholic's excuse. It is but now I had no family so, why not drink myself into a stupor? Another excuse...

Eventually, my court day came up for my probation violation directly caused by Jen. The Judge Eckhart of Charlevoix, sentenced me to 90 days- granting me work release. Fantastic! All I have to do is sleep there... AND pay 20 dollars a day housing and medical fees for 90 days. Now I am paying rent at two places in order to have an office and preserve my office files and studio equipment.

I worked out a transportation plan with people I knew, and continued the project, as well as, working on my web publicity to find an income- even though I was forbidden by the court to be on the internet...so, I started using my daughter, or Jen's daughter's, twitter account that no one knew she had- at 9! That's why there are excerpt posts from Siena only for a stretch. I had no choice. I had engaged readers and seemingly interested parties and I did not want them to think I was not serious.

Eventually, 400 dollars in transportation fees later, I purchased a moped to get back and forth with. Only because I had also been using the local bus to get back and forth with- (18 miles from Petoskey to Charlevoix) and hitchhiking/walking, and sometimes I rode a bicycle when I had to. That sounds like an easy transportation solution but you will see later that it's a disservice. To depend on the bus, I had to return when the last bus went back- at 3:30 p.m. The math on it is 8:30 a.m. pick up at the jail- 3:30 p.m. return + 1 hour round trip + 6 hour day - lunch - jail housing fee of $20 a day - hotel room rent $150 per week - $400 trans expense - $600 moped + (grief) X $10 per hour = 65.50 per day expenses out of 50 dollars earned per day. And then there's coffee, tobacco, and a couple drinks to start the day with= -$72> +$50. Not counting the fines of 1200+

It was my understanding that I could not get a driver's license but all of the geniuses around me said that I could get a moped license. After going to the Secretary of State, and reading a pamphlet about mopeds, I learned that I was correct. So, I rode the moped back "home" with an alternate plan. The plan was to just carry on as normal- look the part, and act the part. I drove the moped right to the jail house, parked it in the lot, and rang the buzzer to get in. That was that. No one ever asked me, and I never said, whether I had a license. Fortunately, for me, I was pretty popular with the staff- for various reasons. They were familiar with my life, and my work. That was what made me realize that I was not what everyone had convinced me that I was- Crazy.

A LOT went on, on many levels, during my incarceration but the day finally came when I was free. They gave me all of my stuff, and turned me loose. I hoped on the moped and scooted to my room at the hotel.
Once back, I returned to my self appointed responsibilities of helping to fill in- like the laundry (on top of painting an enormous building by myself). This was because the laundry was being run by idiots and eventually abandoned entirely. I takes three people, and an attentive staff of housekeepers, to keep the hotel laundry flowing. They were using the laundry for the stock closet. I'll get into this nightmare later. BUT, I stepped in and took it over while they searched for new help. I ended up proving that, if a person really wanted to, it could be done pretty much single handed. They hated me for that.

It wasn't long before they finally got what they wanted- a fresh look to the building. Once they got that, they began their campaign to get rid of me. My motorcycle was vandalized. My bank account was abused and robbed by management. And, recently, I received a 1099 for 7500 bucks- some of it came from my own bank account. So, anyone who thinks I am angry... You are correct.

In the mean time my close friend, Larry, begged me to come to Grand Rapids to help him. Little did I know he only wanted to own me, showcase my work as his own, and try to become my Boss. All the while I was the one actually carrying the "company". It was him that went and got the jobs, put the bids in, and arranged for the material to get there. It was me that actually knew how to do the various aspects of the jobs, and solve the problems. More on that in a later focus. Stories within stories. I think this might end up a series.

Finally, after endless hours playing Call of Duty, never sleeping, always being sick from loss of sleep, avoiding Psychiatric Meds needs, continuously lying to EVERYONE about everything, gambling, scratch offs, and a bullshit religious façade for manipulation- the homeowner of a project two trailers over from his own decided to protest. We hadn't been working on the project due to his habits. He didn't even keep a log book. Finally, she screamed at him and he decided to throw me under the bus to save his own ass- and the women he was using. This after convincing me into buying a rundown dup of a trailer that had been infested with bedbugs, and everything else you can think of, with my auto claim money for personal home attendant care- with the promise that he would help me make it livable but that was only to keep me as his trained monkey.

Larry knew, and it was part of the deal, that I needed medical care, and help with my welfare needs. I have yet to receive any care or meds, and I am making myself look like a fool in the public eye while desperately trying to sell my work to make a life for myself. Adult Services Workers were here to see me after finally speaking to a case worker at DHS, where they straightened out my case, got my benefits back in order, and restored my hope. This only happened because I asked one of my girlfriends to drive two hundred miles to help me. That was about two weeks ago (realtime). The caseworkers suggested, after seeing the conditions I am in, and speaking with me, that I should go to Pine Rest- a mental hospital, for observation.

Larry would soon suggest that we go to his trailer in Mesick, to drink some beers and hang out. At one point, Larry handed me a beer can, saying, "This must be your beer."
My feelings were that it was not because I never let go of the can until it's empty.
Putting it to my lips, I could feel that the can was very warm. Allowing a small amount to splash my tongue, the sensation felt like a chemical substance. It was battery acid. Luckily, for me, only a small amount splashed my throat- immediately triggering my gag reflexes with my own thoughts. I vomited several times to wash it from my throat. Coincidentally, Larry had possession of my small motorcycle, and all of the possessions- tools mostly, that I had brought to town.
Recently, I had witnessed heroine addicts trolling the neighborhood, while I had stayed at this cabin of Larry's. A man, and 2 women, strolled the little community- trolling for suckers. Well, there I was, taking the bait from this very good looking girl of about 28. They called her "hooker" quite often. Later, I would accompany them to their "home." It was a defunct house without water. They just crapped off of the edge of the back deck. The man was shooting up pills he got from a neighbor. The girls would fight over the "rinse." Soon, there would be a huge brawl. Tool chests were flying. The place was getting busted up- even worse than it was, which seemed quite hard to do more of. I made a comment about being disgusted with beating up women, regardless of the reason. The man stated that I could easily disappear. I told him that he knew where I was staying, and to come on down and we would talk about it... I left, and he never followed, nor did he show up at the house. I think Larry, and them, were in cahoots. Maybe I should have set fire to their "home." Fortunately, for me, I have better things to do.

I have no choice but to see this through, sell the trailer, recoup my losses, secure my interests, and return to Charlevoix County to turn myself in on a warrant for my arrest over a probation violation. That, because I was at the woman's home who helped me, fro Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving morning the call came in that one of her family members blew his head off with a 12 gauge shotgun. His mother found him at 10 a.m. when she went to bring him over for the gathering.

The next week day rolled around and I went to drop. I ended up dropping dirty and told them not to send it in. I should have just sent it in and took my chances but I decided it was over and I was going back to jail so, I just quit reporting. I am looking at 270 in abeyance currently. I do not know what they will give me. My plan is to take it back to court, withdraw my plea, and challenge it. If I win, I get my license back and all of my money I paid them. Jenny, however, may not get away unscathed. I am afraid of that and I don't know what to do. All of these things makes sobriety very difficult and hopeless. Not working with me at managing our money is the root of all of this destruction. That is what eroded away my strength, and the sobriety that I was so Proud of.
That brings us up to Today, March 25, 2017.
One of the biggest human mistakes we can make is to continue through life without ever being apologetic or remorseful for our actions. Sometimes a simple "I'm sorry" is all it takes to activate the switch in our brain that allows us all to feel Wholeness and Love. That is a spot that lies in the middle ground and is most always never reached because the other person is expected to initiate it. Time then runs out. And just as life is over, it has also never begun... ZSP

The first time I ever played and sang was the twentieth of July at about 12:23 in the afternoon. Grandma had just passed but I had no idea. Something made me set up my camera and record a playing session. There was no particular song but something I just played on this old nylon that my mom found broken and in the trash.  After rebuilding it I really started to fall in love with the feel and the sound of it- teaching myself to do some finger picking. Two days later they tracked me down to tell me Grandma had passed away. The song, titled, “Life is passing by” is more or less about my life being ripped apart from every angle. There is nothing anyone can do to hurt me now.

"Filthy Rats" Edited New Format! 3-30-17

The real estate thing proved to be another scam, preying on people with the lure of seemingly easy money:

“Come get a real estate license. You can make big commissions. Our courses are only 2500 dollars!”

That amount of money is pennies when you think of the promise one single sale brings. Even the smallest property can yield enough to live on for three months.

Arrgh! I suppose that’s what you get when you take the way out that seems easiest- and that’s closer to broke. Just hope that this decision comes before you liquidate every single possession you have that is worth any amount of money at all which, we are programmed to see a monetary value in every single thing... except in ourselves.

Nobody seems to have a sense of pride or respect for honest work anymore. My hard work was really getting me nowhere, but my foolish pride, and my resentment towards my ex-wife, were killing me slowly but surely. Not to mention, the slow and methodical suicide of the seemingly routine normalcy- an unrecognized battle with drug and alcohol consumption.

It really was no conscious secret to me, that I was no better than those I criticized. I could not break myself free from the spell of consumerism that told me that it was normal and all okay.

"Don't look back, your day's behind you. Have a glass of Windsor Whiskey!" Or, "Head for the mountains, Busch Beer."

Consumerism, Capitalism, and the consistent erosion of Individualism all keep us in an economic slavery that has made us all equal. Equal yet divided in so very many ways. When will the constant societal pummeling cease for a moment long enough for us to take a breath with which to admirably fight with?

Our captors know that they cannot let up on their oppression that keeps us held down in a dismal state with which we are unable to construct our own thoughts enough for a fair chance to fight back.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2dik2kDlhQ&t=19s

My labors earned me a room of my own in the basement, which I converted into a music studio. In reality, I had been assigned a task to turn a utility area into a usable den but my fantasy of having a career in the media, conveniently replacing Danny’s loft space studio, kept me from seeing that.

I think The Fabulous T-Birds were playing in my head while I set to work building a bulkhead around the ductwork of the furnace.
The framing needed to be built in order to drywall. It needed plenty of soundproofing and some carpet.
Julie had me build a closet that she could grow pot in as well. Danny helped me build some counter space, appropriate for the computer, keyboards, and appliances, which included a Tascam Four Track Analog recording system that he had gifted me.
https://www.reverbnation.com/thebandanabrothers/song/1498831-actuate-yourself

One day, while Danny was making plans to move out of the building, Andy was making plans to move in. He quickly befriended Sean Adams, (of Within The Cochlea) and his band mate, Mike. https://www.reverbnation.com/withinthecochlea/song/22224548-make-you-gods

“Ace music Dave” was there bringing orders of guitar strings (marijuana) to musicians that day. Mike’s girlfriend, Laura, was painting a recreation of Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”, on the walls of their studio space.

It wasn’t hard to tell that she was there spending time trying to save their relationship. I think I was the only one that picked up on life budding elsewhere in the room that day.

Taking it upon myself, I tried to warn them about Andy but they were already under his spell. The guys were snowed.
That’s when Dave changed the subject, telling me about a guy interested in selling his DJ business.

Little did I realize.....

it was just a dope fiend trying to gain purchase in the mind of a man with the dope- confidence created to confuse and manipulate him.

Julie agreed that, since it came with a listing in the Yellow Pages, it was a good investment.

Danny and I weren’t interested in the DJ business. We only wanted the P.A. system that was for sale. It was a great buy, and we happened to need it for the upcoming Memorial Day show. The guy selling it wanted us to go do a DJ gig for a wedding reception, saying he’d loan us the speakers to do it with, and that we could think about buying the business.

Neither Myself, nor Danny, nor Julie, could see the actual writing on the wall. We were so blinded with a chance at something different than we were accustomed to or understood that we failed all the way around to approach the situation with any kind of LOGIC.

We said we would do the gig, and that we would think about the prospect of the DJ business. Julie called him back two hours later, saying we’d "take the business off of his hands", and asked where to meet up with him to do the transaction.

Now, it appeared as though we were the owners of “AA Bands and DJ’s”.

The wedding gig was on a Saturday, and was being held at a Country Club, in Jenison, which threw up red flags to me but Julie said there was absolutely nothing to worry about. She said it would be an easy two hundred bucks. We finalized with the decision to do the gig, and set off in our routine.

It seemed like I was the only one around the day Andy actually moved into the building so, it was me that ended up stuck with helping him move his things, which also meant helping him move his things from the woman’s house he was leaving.
Judging by the looks on her face, she had been mistreated for the last time. Just the way she looked at me with Andy, let me know that I was helping the enemy, with a lot at... steak.

Her eyes told me many things- most of all that I was a piece of shit for helping him. She didn't know who I was to Andy. All I could do was offer her my sympathy through my body language, and my eye contact with her that said how sorry I was and how ashamed I was of myself... that I was involved in the least.

There were many pieces of musical merchandise, mainly brand new electric guitars that still were in their boxes. Every bit of it was hot.
Chet, his boss, was storing a lot of this loot in the basement of his home. The story was so, that Andy wouldn’t sell it all for drugs while he was supposed to be getting clean from Heroine and Crack Cocaine- just another con job on Chet.

It worked well for a while but Chet was just as much of a crook, robbing people with a smile and some paint equipment.

Andy swore that he was no longer using but everything, other than his words, said something else entirely.

One of those things that spoke to me was the motor home he left for abandoned in the lot at the building we moved him into. It was eventually towed to the impound yard and sold for scrap. The other was the crack pipe, that I saw laying on the floor, under the couch, where it had been placed in an attempt to hide it.

Little did they realize I would just pull up some rug before them, to listen, while he and a girl with him played and sang. My words that I added to their song were something along the lines of, " crack pipe on the floor..." letting him know that I had seen what was really going on that day.

As people progressed toward leaving the building in the weeks that followed, Andy was liquidating the things he had been accumulating. Story was that he had to move back to Florida to help his mother, meaning that he wouldn’t be there very long. He had survived shooting a near fatal dose of bleach into his arm almost two years ago, and now was on his way to spend time with his mother while his body was yet to realize he was walking dead.

Andy offered to sell his P.A. equipment to me for seven hundred bucks. The lighting system, a good size mixer, amplifier, a pair of one thousand watt Yamaha speakers, light cans, miscellaneous lines and patch cords, etc. It was a great deal that I just couldn’t believe- too good. He knew Julie had the money to pay for it, and I was right in the middle of gearing up for the show. It just made sense at the time, so she bought it for me.
She liked the music room so much that she bought a mini fridge with a tap handle and a carbonic system for a pony keg to put in there too. Yeah, I really thought I had things made now. Thanks to the spell that alcohol had on me, every bit of sense that I had was compromised.

Julie went with me to do the wedding reception gig in Jenison. The father had called beforehand to explain what music tracks they wanted, and when they wanted them to be played. It was pretty exciting for me even though it was a wedding reception, which almost every band dreads. https://www.reverbnation.com/thebandanabrothers/song/1494707-runaway-bride
I had spent days going to thrift stores, buying all the music tapes and CD’s I could find that might be good additions to a DJ library.
I just couldn’t remember, did he say NO Hawaiian shirts or did he say WEAR Hawaiian shirts?

We arrived and set up. I first smelled a rat when, after an hour, we were never offered a drink or any type of hospitality. Having never done a wedding gig before, I was under the impression that it’s a celebration regardless of whether you are “just” the DJ or not. Not even a glass of water was offered to us.

At one point, some of the girls came and gathered around to have their pictures taken with me. Little did I realize, they were sent by the father of the bride. They were gathering pictures to use against me.https://www.reverbnation.com/thebandanabrothers/song/3787025-homicide-blues-by-rb-and-company

The next day I received a phone call from an irate Dutchman who felt like stiffing someone on his wedding expenses. He was yelling, demanding his two hundred dollars back because I showed up wearing long hair and a Hawaiian shirt! It didn’t settle well on me, since I had just been awoken from sleep so, I was irate as well but more so.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFVYzw8XzOI

Julie took the phone from me, and somewhere along the conversation, agreed to refund him his precious money. This only confirmed my fears, and I was quick to chalk it up to one of the reasons nobody likes doing weddings, and moved on with my renewed opinion about Jenison.

Now my attention was on satisfying myself over the DJ service purchase by calling the guy to discuss the Yellow page listing, which was tied to his phone number. I smelled another rat.

The problem I now had was, my life had become so infested and overrun with rats that,
a simple extermination wouldn’t work well enough. He ended up stiffing me on the whole transaction and walking away with the money we gave him, and the DJ business. This was going to require something more drastic but I didn’t know what.

"On Guard"

Always scribbling, banking a little time in my songwriting added up fast. So, while Casey refused to do even the least of anything to help, my workload grew and grew to the point where I wouldn’t have a moment for anything but to write a few lines about it while stewing in my frustration and disgust with what I was now involved in, as well as with myself. A lot of that was voiced in a song I wrote about a subject in the news, Jennifer Wilbanks.
Ms. Wilbanks must have gotten cold feet regarding her wedding plans because she disappeared, causing her Bridegroom and their families to call the authorities, requesting to file a missing persons report. A lot of authorities from several states became involved. When they finally found her in Oklahoma, she claimed to have been abducted by a white woman and a Mexican guy.
Too many opportunities had been lost in the past, like the Joey Buttafuco and Amy Fischer thing, where someone had written a song about that. Although only a novelty item, I wanted to be the one to nail this one. I couldn’t miss out on the chance to nail a gig, so I ran over to the loft in order to pitch the idea to Danimal while it was still in the news, mentioning how people land songwriting publicity that way, and that maybe we could turn something out that would gain attention for our compositions. It wasn’t long between breaths when I had my notepad out to show him what I already had to work with. He looked it over and suggested an intro idea, grabbed his acoustic guitar, and laid down a twelve bar blues progression. After about ten minutes, we had a pretty cool little blues boogie that I could belt out harmonica leads on my A harp to. We were satisfied with ourselves and basked in the glow of completing another song.
The warm weather settled in about two weeks prior, and my excitement about putting it together before anyone else, could hardly be contained. It wasn’t hard to rally Danimal into going down to Tuscan’s Deli to soundboard it on a friend of ours that worked there as a clerk, and to buy a couple of beers in celebration.  It was just about time for the lunchtime rush of customers, so we knew we had a perfect time to catch some ears. She was just about to snag a quick break when we got there, so we went out to a patio table in front of the building and started playing our song.
A minute or two into it, a man in a double-breasted blue pin-stripe suit pulled up, listened for a minute, and then entered the store with the clerk following. After he left, we played it again. As we were making a purchase, then to leave, the same guy came back in asking me for a business card or phone number, saying something or other about looking for acts. I really wasn’t paying much attention for the sake of all of the distractions and my enthusiasm over our sound-boarding the song.
Several weeks later, the phone rang. The caller identified himself as being with the D.W. Cassard V.F.W. hall, Post 3023, asking if we were available for Memorial Day. He said he needed an act, wanting to know if we could fill a two-hour slot in the schedule. I thought about it for a minute, remembering the hours we spent playing at our own art-jams. I told him we sure could, and it was set. I called Danimal right away to let him know that we were scheduled to play on Memorial Day at the Monroe Avenue VFW for a benefit to raise money for a new police K-9. All Dan said was, “We need a Ringer. We need to call R.B.”
Chapter; Sunk
As part of my plan to take back my time from Julie’s increasing demands, I returned to working for Bob. Being that Bob was a Gossipmonger; he could never resist a chance to capitalize on my trade skills and steal pieces of my character and wit for himself. The fun part for him was that he got something new to talk about, AND my carpentry efforts that he called, “Amish Craftsmanship”. My ulterior motives were to put it in his face that I was in a two hundred fifty thousand dollar home, and that I was on my way to getting hands on the situation with my children, since he always deflected me as a bum and a piss-poor father.
Julie had made another impulse purchase, trying to keep me in her snare with another boat. This time it was a fourteen-foot Glastron with an eighty-five horsepower Yamaha outboard. It was a beautiful craft, metallic green and very fast. One morning, Bob volunteered to pick me up, jumping out of his red Savannah, rushing to the north side of my garage to urinate in the bushes, where most of the neighbors could have seen him if they were looking out their windows. I sensed something was wrong since he could have used the utility bathroom that was through the garage door to the house- a mere twelve steps away. Truth was Bob’s bladder and his conscience were both full. He had been up early, coming by before sun-up, and had been in the area drinking coffee while killing the extra time and concealing his deviance, which entailed using his Panasonic cordless drill, and an eighth inch bit, to put a hole in the bottom of my boat, just to the rear of the Captain’s seat. When we got into his van he immediately picked the drill up from the floor near his seat to show me his new purchase, bragging about the technology, while trying to compensate for his guilt with nervous chatter. The green material from the plastic and fiberglass was clinging to the fuselage with static electricity. It hadn’t dawned on me what it was that he had done. And to suspect him of such a dastardly deed, well, it never damned on me that he would do such a thing. Had I not been so concerned with earning his respect and admiration I might have been able to recall that we were never ever friends. It's funny how trying to belong in a warped society causes for people to forget about guarding themselves.
